Fascinated with nanotechnology, the Ivy League student was interested in how luxury watches never got scratched or dented even if they got dropped on the road.
The faces of luxury watches are plated with a specific glass that can’t be scratched or broken with hard knocks.
While regular watches use a glass called mineral glass, luxury watches are plated with sapphire glass.
“Sapphire glass is so expensive that only one tool can be used to polish and cut it into shape. But its scratch and shatter resistance make it one of the hardest substances on earth.”
- Owen Frazer
Owen came up with the brilliant idea to use sapphire glass to fix a common yet financially crippling issue everybody faces today.
Cracked phone screens from low-quality tempered glass.
Owen created an incredibly strong liquid solution that will coat every micro mm of the phone using cutting-edge nanotechnology he had been working on.
He named it SapphireCoat™.
